National Baseball Hall of Fame
Cooperstown, New York
Cooperstown is one of my favorite places to visit, which is why I'm sure to make it there every year for induction weekend. Besides the hall of fame, which is far superior to the football and basketball shrines, the whole town just oozes baseball. The museum, which is constantly undergoing renovations, is so big that it could easily take you longer than a day to get through it all. Some may complain because there aren't enough interactive exhibits, but I prefer it the way it is. Cooperstown has enough other places that are interactive, so there is no need for the hall of fame to be as well. Others complain that the hall of fame is in the middle of nowhere. Well, that's the way it should be - it ensures that only real baseball fans can find it. It wouldn't be the same if it were located in New York City, or directly off a highway somewhere. Every baseball fan should make the pilgrimage at least once in their life. The official website for the hall of fame is www.baseballhalloffame.com.
