| Siebert Field, the former home of the University of Minnesota baseball team, also hosted professional baseball for two years in the mid 1990's. The Minneapolis Loons called this park home in 1994 and 1995 as part of the North Central and Prarie Leagues. The park was probably sufficient for indy baseball in those days, but its location in downtown Minneapolis was probably a hindrance to the team drawing fans. It is unclear how much longer Siebert Field will be around as there are plans to build a new park for the university. The Gophers played all of their 2010 season at the Metrodome, but because of the roof collapse, that won't be possible in 2011. While the Gophers won't be playing here in 2011, there is a possibility that Siebert Field gets renovated for use in the future.
