Braves Field was home of the Boston Braves from 1915 until 1952 when the Braves left for Milwaukee. While there is no longer a baseball field on the original site, some of the park still remains. The ticket office which was located down the right field line is now a child care center and security office for Boston University. Directly behind the ticket office building is a grandstand that is part of what is now Nickerson Field. The upper part of this grandstand made up the right field bleachers at Braves Field. Nickerson Field is now used primarily for soccer. A plaque located behind where home plate would have been located commemorates the historical significance of this site. In addition, a portion of the exterior right field wall still stands. The site of Braves Field is located about a mile from Fenway Park and is well worth a visit.
