| Though it hasn't been used for professional baseball since 1982, Danville Stadium appears to still be in excellent shape. It hosted several Midwest League teams starting in the 1950's and now is home to the Danville Dans of the Central Illinois Collegiate League. The ballpark features a large covered grandstand, that appears to be made mostly of wood. Unfortunately, I was unable to get inside on my visit here, so the above photos were the best I could do. Danville Stadium is a classic minor league ballpark and well worth finding if you're in the area. |
