Parade Stadium was home to the Minneapolis Millers of the Great Central League in 1994, the only year of the league's existence. And it is little wonder this league didn't last longer with "ballparks" like this. Parade Stadium might be fine for amateur baseball, but with little more than bleachers slapped up around a field, it had no business hosting pro ball. But in 1994 everyone was trying to copy the Northern League's success, especially in the Minneapolis area where St. Paul was such a success. The one redeeming quality of this park is the setting as it is located right near downtown and has a view of the skyline. Just another great example of the early days of independent ball.
