Taylor Field last hosted professional baseball in 1995 when the Pine Bluff Locomotives of the Big South League played here. Pine Bluff also had teams in the Cotton States League in the 40's and 50's, but I'm not sure they played at Taylor Field. While I was unable to get inside, it does appear to be neat old ballpark. There is a small covered grandstand behind homeplate and a bleacher section down the right field line. The seats in the grandstand are painted several different colors, which certainly makes for an interesting look. From the condition of the field, it would appear that Taylor Field still gets plenty of use from amateur teams. But it's hard to imagine pro ball ever returning here, especially since Little Rock is just 40 miles up the road.
