Ripken Museum
Aberdeen, Maryland
The Ripken Museum was dedicated to the family's life in baseball. The museum was small (only a couple of rooms), but was packed with memorabilia from Cal Sr., Cal Jr., Billy, and other less famous family members. The building across the street (top photo), displayed the number representing Cal Jr.'s consecutive game streak, just as the warehouse did at Camden Yards. The museum was located in downtown Aberdeen, just a few miles from Ripken Stadium. Unfortunately, the Ripken Museum has now closed and there are no plans to reopen it. There had been talk of creating a museum at Ripken Stadium, but apparently this fell through.
