Despite being around since 1940, Delazier Field has only hosted professional baseball for 3 seasons. From 1946-48, the Bloomingdale Troopers of the North Atlantic League played here. Since that time, it has apparently gotten plenty of use by amateur teams and appears to be well maintained. Tucked into a residential neighborhood, the stone exterior is probably the most impressive feature. One oddity about this park is that there is a permanent backstop just a few feet behind home plate, reminiscent of a Little League park. Delazier Field is a hidden gem worth checking out if you are in the area.
