Fort Lauderdale Stadium played host continuously to spring training baseball from 1962 until 2009, after which the Orioles moves to Sarasota. The Yankees had trained here from 1962 until 1995 before the Orioles took over in '96. While the ballpark looks nice enough (I was unable to get inside), apparently its location (next to a private airport) and the lack of surrounding ballfields makes it unlikely that another MLB team will make Fort Lauderdale Stadium their spring home. Apparently it is still being maintained and does get some usage from amateur teams, but its days may be numbered as there have been rumors about the airport wanting the land that the ballpark is on.
