MacArthur Stadium was a great park to see a game in. The seats were close to the field, there was a covered grandstand, and the atmosphere was just perfect for minor league baseball. So how come they had to tear it down and make room for the new Alliance Bank Stadium ? Because it didn't have luxury boxes. The new park was built right next to MacArthur so the location obviously wasn't seen as a problem. It's just a shame that a classic old park was torn down in favor of a new stadium that has artificial turf. P & C is a beautiful new park except for the ugly rug. Maybe if they had real grass I wouldn't have been as opposed to them moving to a new park. I'm just happy that I was able to see a few games at MacArthur before it was demolished.
