Seals Stadium was the home of the San Francisco Giants for two season (1958-59) before they moved into Candlestick Park. Before that, it hosted Pacific Coast League teams from the time it opened in 1931. There are no remnants of it remaining, but the above plaque was placed near where home plate was in 2008. The site is currently occupied by a shopping center featuring Safeway and Petco stores.
