Among the ballparks in the United League that I have seen, Edinburg Stadium is probably the nicest. I have yet to see a game here, but from my brief stop to snap some photos, this looks like an excellent place to see a game. From a structure standpoint, the ballpark doesn't break any new ground, but it does have a few unique touches. Most notable are the wavy awnings that cover the luxury boxes and picnic areas. Also, instead of building the luxury boxes up, they are on the concourse level and much closer to the action. This means that concession stands are not in view of the field, but that matters little to me. Hopefully I will get back here for a game sometime in the future. Unfortunately, the future of pro baseball in Edinburg looks bleak as no team has played here since 2011. In 2016, the ballpark was turned over to the University of Texas - Rio Grande Valley and renamed UTRGV Baseball Stadium.
