| Centennial Field is home of the Vermont Lake Monsters (a new name as of 2006) of the New York-Penn League. It is one of the oldest parks still in use in the minors, but is still in excellent shape. The covered grandstand behind home plate is a classic. My only complaints are that it sits a little far from home plate and the old wooden seats are a bit cramped. The grandstand is made up solely of individual seats. General Admission sections are located down both lines. These are simply concrete seats. Seat cushions are a must if one is seating in these sections. Putting benches there would be nice, but is something that apparently will not be done due to the age of the structure. A picnic area is located down the left field line, while the concourse area behind the third base side houses the concession stands. The atmosphere here centers around their mascot Champ, who is known to delay the game at times as he did one night when I was there. Though maybe not as bad as Hudson Valley, there promotions seem to go overboard at times. Certainly one of my favorite parks in the NY-Penn League.
