| I never saw a game at Qualcomm Stadium (formerly Jack Murphy Stadium), so can't comment much on it. Apparently it was a decent baseball park before the outfield was enclosed in the 1990's (so it could host the Super Bowl). The football Chargers still call this park home and there are no plans to build a new stadium for them. So while baseball will never be played here again, Qualcomm Stadium will probably remain standing for years to come. Certainly both the Padres and Chargers are happier now that they have their own parks. |
